The very hip Haligonian takes on ALL CAPS! today. Lurk my twitter for ALL CAPS! live tweets. You can also check out the Vine I made with golf cart riding with Mr. Rich during Osheaga below. Nice guy. He also knows how to rock a Babar T-shirt.

Osheaga 2013: Day 3
A few thoughts...
Bad Things: Did you know that Shaun White has a band? He totally has a band dude. The flying tomato shreds on guitar. That being said, it was frontman/leadsinger Davis LeDuken who stole the limelight covering himself in mud.
Jackmaster: BBC Radio 1 DJ does good with sunny grooves and while the crowd may have been small we were all dancing.
Kendrick Lamar: KENDRICK HAD A DREEEEEAAAAAAAM! Very hazy times with the homies. Bitch don't kill my vibe.
Disclosure: Honestly? They were good but they're totally fake. But I'm okay with that! Settle is a great album - live or not. Oh and Jessie Ware joined em on stage so that was rad.

Osheaga 2013: Day 2
Our second day of the festival was spent chilling around the Piknic Electronik stage, soaking in the sun and tunes. From what used to be the smallest stage a few years ago, Piknic Electronik has grown each festival both in size and talent. Our highlights? First up it was Chicago house rep Cajmere.
Making people dance since 1991, the man is nothing short of a pro. Decked out in his trademark sunglasses and throwing in dance moves as he spun the set was rad fun. Oh and he played “Coffee Pot (It’s Time for the Percolator)” which is a chuuuuuune.
Highlight number 2? Azari & III! The Toronto house quartet (fresh from Wednesday night’s Boiler Room) brought it and then some. The electric energy onstage was contagious as Fritz Helder and Starving Yet Full commanded attention with moves to match their vocals. Meanwhile behind the decks Alixander III and Dinamo Azari were having just as much fun. From “Hungry For The Power” to “Manic” each hit simple hit harder and harder. By the time they closed up with ”Reckless (With Your Love)” we were all in shambles.
Osheaga 2013: Beck
While many acts on the festival circuit are sometimes new to the game, Beck was nothing but a pro. A post modern music maker who’s been in the game since the late 80s, he took over and closed up Osheaga day 2, proving is headliner status.
With 10 albums under his belt and then some, Beck delivered the hits from “Loser” to “E-Pro”. “Black Tambourine” and “Girl”. Hit after hit after it. Mid set he slowed things down a little as it started to rain and by the time “Everybody’s Gotta Learn Sometime” came on we were all feeling pretty emotional. It was just so lovely.
Rain wasn’t the only thing sprinkled throughout the set that evening. Beck dished out many unique and tasty covers including Donna Summer’s “I Feel Love” and “Billie Jean” by Michael Jackson. Very very fun stuff.
Closing up with the 1996 Odelay hit “Where It’s At” Beck broke down on his knees and preached to the people of Montreal about how he’s come knock knocking on their door and he wanted to love us. We welcomed him in with open arms, two turn tables and a microphone.

music video of the day: "I Feel Better" by Hot Chip
Any excuse I have to post this fantastically weird and amazing video I'll take. Hot Chip closed off the last night of Osheaga and it was just such a rad dance party. Already aching to be back.
"We love you very much. It's as if you were children of ours, or adopted children perhaps. Either way." - @Hot_Chip #Osheaga

Two turntables and a microphone. Tonight my favourite loser plays Osheaga.
